well. we have been here for almost two weeks. in that time we have:
made three trips to ikea (at least two more than normal humans should make in that amount of time)
eaten in several great eateries
experienced an earthquake
gotten our boxes from vermont
seen ratatat (the loudest show ever--thanks popa j (wahoo!) for recommending ear plugs--they really helped)
gotten rock band two (it has the go go' s and journey--pretty much awesome)
started a regimen of wii fit (thirty minutes a day. we are gonna be jacked when you guys see us next!!)
decorated our little house (not as tiny as the tiny house, but the kitchen and bedrooms are pretty much done)
seen melissa, forrest, and claudia's friends nate and mike
eaten both at the cupcake store and papamingo's frozen yogurt
and much much more.
also you should know our landlord is a polish vytas! his name is jasic (yasick) and his personality is so vytas. he is a funny land owner (he owns land and houses all over the bay and a farm in poland)--he is also funny. he does everything we ask like put screens on the windows and get us keys for the house. he also lends us mattresses until ours got here. both jasic and his partner katy are friendly and helpful. it is very nice.
i also finally got my gardenia plant--a five dollar target special. it is pretty hardy here and should be able to be planted outside in the ground. it has not rained since we got here. it has, however gotten more chilly--maybe seventies in the day and 50's at night. it is probably colder in vermont, but we all know i am not cut out for that kind of cold. that is why i am here. it took us forever to get internet. seriously. forever. that is why i am only now writing this. i will start carrying my little camera with me wherever i go so you can feel like you are here, too. turn the heater up in your house and read this blog and feel like you, too are here in the sunny side of the bay. if you could also get one person playing video games just in your peripheral vision. then you would really have my life to a tee. it is 12:49 here and i have eaten breakfast, but i have not yet bothered to shower. soon. this is my life. are you at least a little jealous?
