we went to see cloverfield. it was not as scary as i thought it would be. it was shot in the same way as bair witch, which could make you sea sick, and for that reason, if you are going to see it, i recommend seeing it on the big screen. you sortof get attached to the kids in the movie, and you hope for them. at one point i was actually running along with them while i was sitting in my seat. poor dust had to grab my leg and stop me before i noticed. a lot of it is far fetched, but it is a monster movie, so that is no downfall to me. i think i liked it, and i hope you will see it.
we also saw charlie wilson's war. set in 1980, it covers how america went about funding afghanistan's war with ussr. it shous how we did it inconspicuosly. sneaky americans. it was really good. phillip seymore hoffman was fabulous in this movie too. so i reccommed this one, too. mostly because people don't know that we trained and armed the afghani's we are fighting now, and it is funny (surprisinly, funny). they also give a shout out to tri delta's. bonus.
